About the Edge of Madness calendar
- What is the Edge of Madness?
- An optional area in Zul'Gurub where one of four troll bosses can be summoned: Gri'lek, Hazza'rah, Renataki or Wushoolay. Which one is available changes on a fixed rotation, and each drops a unique item.
- How does the rotation work?
- Each boss is available for 14 days, then the next in the order Gri'lek, Hazza'rah, Renataki, Wushoolay takes over. A full cycle is 56 days. The rotation is not tied to the instance reset.
- What time does the boss change?
- At 00:00 server time (America/Los_Angeles). The calendar converts that into your time zone. Days where the change lands mid-day show the change time on the tile.
- How do I verify in game?
- Inside Zul'Gurub, read the tablets around the Edge of Madness. The tablet for the active boss is legible.
- Which boss does my saved raid spawn?
- The boss is fixed when the raid instance is created. A saved ID keeps the boss from the day it was created, even after the calendar moves on.
- How do I summon the boss?
- Use Gurubashi Mojo Madness at the brazier. An Alchemist crafts it from 1 Blood of Heroes, 1 Massive Mojo, 6 Powerful Mojo and 1 Black Lotus.
- Is this accurate for Hardcore?
- Yes. The rotation is anchored on a transition verified in game, most recently 2026-09-16. Report a mismatch on Discord and it will be re-anchored.
- Which versions of WoW does this cover?
- Classic Era, Hardcore and the 20th Anniversary realms share one rotation and each has its own calendar here. World of Warcraft Forever gets its own once Zul'Gurub opens there. Switch games in Settings.
